Corporate Biography
William Ayot is a poet, playwright, and teacher. As a co-founder and former chairman of Olivier Mythodrama, he was instrumental in developing mythodrama as a high-impact theatre-based methodology in executive education, and for over a decade delivered theatre-based programmes on leadership issues across four continents. He now works with individuals and groups, exploring leadership through poetry, presence work and symbolic action (ritual). His clients include international organisations, ministries and agencies, blue chip corporations, chief executives and office holders. He teaches on the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD and is currently Poet-in-Residence at Saïd Business School, Oxford University. William’s writing credits include the play Bengal Lancer,(Leicester & London, West End) as well as three collections of poetry, including E-mail from the Soul: New and Selected Leadership Poems, which won the People’s Book Prize in the UK. His latest book Re-Enchanting the Forest: Meaningful Ritual in a Secular World (Vala, Bristol, UK), was published in October 2015. William is a member of Academi Cymraig, the Welsh Academy, an FRSA and a Fellow of the Guild of Mythodrama Practitioners. He lives in Monmouthshire with his wife, the psychotherapist and teacher, Juliet Grayson.
